Heading to a festival this summer?
Here's a list of the absolute essentials that will ensure that you have the best time possible!
◦ The Absolute Necessities ◦
I always downsize my wallet when going to a festival so it's lighter to carry. This little pouch from Status Anxiety is the perfect size!
Your wallet and phone are a given, but bringing a portable phone charger is an absolute life saver. This one has over 6 full charges which is plenty to take vids and photos all day long!
○ For Protection ○
Sunnies are a no-brainer. They don't just complete your festival outfit, but they actually protect your eyes from the sun (who knew?) 😎 These 'My Girl Sunnies' from Quay are our all time best seller!
We all tend to forget about the old slip slop slap. but seriously, it sucks getting burnt😅. This 'Eco Tan' face and body is perfff because it smells great and doesn't leave that icky sticky feeling most sunscreens leave!
Keep yourself hydrated. Most festivals won't let you take in water bottles, but if it's empty when you take it in then you can avoid paying $5+ for a small bottle of water! 🙅
◦ The Backpack ◦
What else are you going to carry you stuff in?
Backpacks are so much handier than shoulder bags! Your hands can be free to wail around and it doesn't bash around your body when you dance your butt off!
Make sure you go for a small, lightweight backpack that is just big enough to fit the necessities, you don't want to look like you're going to school!
◦ Bits and Bobs ◦
If you're game enough to lug it around all day, then the Fujifilm Mini Instax is perfect to capture those special moments. Who doesn't love polaroid snaps?
Lip balm - so small but goes such a long way. Keep them lips shiny and plump!
There's nothing worse then getting a nasty blister and still having hours left of the festival. So if you dance as much as I do at festivals then these bandaids can make your day!
○ To Keep You Feelin' Fresh ○
During the festivities, chances are you're going to have to make the dreaded journey to the portaloo bathrooms 😷 That's where your small sanitiser becomes you're most prized possession!
Not exactly necessary, but dry shampoo is great for keeping your hair look mighty fine. Mine tends to look oily after dancing so a mini dry shampoo can really help!
Pressed powder goodness! There will be a time near the end of the day where you take a look in the mirror for the first time and think 'ugggh'. Your makeup has all worn off and smudged but you plan on partying for another 5 hours. This baby will quickly freshen up your face and give you that coverage that you lost!
And don't forget your festival outfit!
